- Holiday Closure (2/17/25)Scott County offices will be closed Monday, February 17, 2025 for Washington’s Birthday (Presidents’ Day). Residential garbage collection routes should run as regularly scheduled.
- Storm Damage AssessmentsScott County EMA will be performing damage assessments in parts of the county affected by this weekend’s storms. If you had damage to structures, please call 601-469-1511 and let whoever answers the call know that you have storm damage to report. - Christmas and New Year’s Day HolidaysScott County offices will be closed Tuesday (12/24/24) and Wednesday (12/25/24) for Christmas and Wednesday (1/1/25) for New Year’s Day. - HOLIDAY CLOSINGS AND GARBAGE PICKUPScott County offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th for the Thanksgiving holiday.Residential garbage collection routes scheduled for Thursday will be picked up on Friday. Friday’s route will be collected on Saturday.
- Holiday Garbage Collection Schedule (Week of 1/17/22)Garbage pick up dates will be affected the week of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Pick up will be delayed by 1 day, as follows: Monday -> Tuesday Tuesday -> Wednesday Wednesday -> Thursday Thursday -> Friday Friday -> Saturday Pick up the following week will resume on the normal schedule.
- Burn Ban (EXPIRED)UPDATE: THIS BURN BAN HAS EXPIRED Scott County is currently experiencing dangerous wildfire conditions and has been placed under a red flag warning. Accordingly, a burn ban is in effect for Scott County effective 2/15/2022 – 2/22/2022. - Memorial Day (Office Closure)Scott County offices will be closed Monday, May 30th, in observance of Memorial Day.
- 2022 Tax Sale InformationThe 2022 Scott County tax sale will be hosted online beginning August 29th, 2022 at 8:30am. Interested parties must register to participate, and registration is now open. Click here for information on how to register and participate in the online tax sale.
- November 8, 2022 – Election InformationElection Day is November 8, 2022 Beginning with this election, Scott County will be utilizing a new elections system which will incorporate the use of paper ballots in compliance with upcoming requirements set forth by the Mississippi Voting Modernization Act. Click here to view a copy of the sample ballot. Absentee Voting Next week is the final week for absentee voting.
